The current 4SCHA product table contains 90-degree included-angle configurations. If a requirement uses 60 degrees, 120 degrees or another angle, send the drawing for feasibility review instead of treating it as a current catalog configuration.

Confirm the drawing convention

The 90-degree value follows the catalog’s included-angle notation. If a part drawing uses a per-side angle or another convention, send the drawing and identify the reference so the requirement can be reviewed correctly.

Review the 4SCHA range and the angle and dimension fields used to distinguish its configurations.

Compare 4SCHA Configurations

Compare Series and Configurations

The 4SCHA range contains one family and one included-angle class. Compare dimensions and application conditions to select a configuration.

MSU 4SCHA chamfer mill configurations compared by included angle, diameter, tip diameter, cutting length and shank with the information to provide and its review purpose.
Comparison input What to provide Review purpose
Included angle Drawing angle, units and angle convention Confirms that the requirement matches the current 90-degree catalog class
Diameter Required tool or cutting-envelope diameter Checks the tool envelope against the feature and setup
Tip diameter Required tip condition or minimum feature limit Distinguishes configurations that cannot be selected by outside diameter alone
Cutting length Required axial engagement along the angled cutting edge Checks the chamfer size against the applicable catalog configuration
Shank Shank diameter and holder requirement Checks the requested tool-to-holder interface

Also provide overall length, reach, workpiece material and hardness, edge condition, operation, machine, holder, coolant method and quantity. MSU reviews the model code together with the drawing and setup before confirming the applicable configuration.

Continue to the drawing, angle convention and setup information needed for a complete review.
