Partner-Supplied PCD, PCBN and MCD Range
Explore partner-supplied PCD and CBN tools available through MSU for insert, cutting-tool and custom-tool requirements. The range is divided into PCD Tools and CBN / PCBN Tools so the cutting material and tool form can be reviewed separately.
Choose PCD and CBN tools by the required cutting material, operation, tool form, workpiece material and standard or custom configuration. MSU reviews the complete product reference or drawing before selection or quotation.
Send the cutting-material route, tool form, operation, workpiece and quantity for review.
Request a PCD or CBN Tool ReviewStart with the cutting-material route, then use the exact tool form, product reference or drawing and application conditions to narrow the request.
PCD and CBN or PCBN tools remain separate from Carbide Inserts and Ceramic Cutting Tools. A similar tool or insert shape does not establish material equivalence or holder compatibility.
Review PCD finishing inserts, MCD tools, milling cutters, reamers and custom PCD tool routes by exact tool form, edge geometry, dimensions, workpiece and standard or custom requirement.

Compare PCD and CBN Product TypesCompare the cutting-material route, tool form and application fields without treating PCD, MCD, CBN and PCBN as interchangeable labels.
A material acronym or partial code does not confirm construction, grade, hardness range, holder fit or machining result. Use only the identification fields shown for the selected product or drawing.
| Route | Current range | First comparison fields | Continue to |
|---|---|---|---|
| PCD | PCD finishing inserts, cutters, reamers and custom tool forms | Tool form, operation, edge geometry, dimensions, workpiece and standard or custom requirement | PCD Tools |
| MCD | Single-crystal tool routes within the PCD range | Complete tool code or drawing, form, edge, dimensions and application | PCD Tools |
| CBN / PCBN | PCBN finishing and semi-finishing inserts plus custom tool forms | Material or construction label, tool form, operation, dimensions, workpiece and standard or custom requirement | CBN / PCBN Tools |
Code fields
Where shown for the selected item, review the cutting-edge count, cutting direction, cutting-edge design, chamfer width and angle, honed size and insert type together. Do not fill missing fields from another product row.
Use the comparison fields to identify the material route, tool form and exact product or drawing needed for review.
Review PCD and CBN Selection InputsA complete request combines the cutting-material route, tool form, operation, workpiece, product reference or drawing and operating conditions.
Material route review
If the cutting material is not fixed, submit the application without assuming PCD or CBN from the workpiece name alone. A material recommendation requires the exact workpiece, operation and operating conditions.
Use Custom Cutting Tools when a dimensioned drawing and drawing-based tool review are the primary requirement.
Send the material, tool-form, workpiece and operating details for product-specific review.
Send PCD or CBN Tool RequirementsUse the current catalog and the relevant child page to identify the complete code, material route, edge fields, dimensions and standard or custom configuration.
Confirm the complete insert reference, dimensions, edge fields, cutting direction and insert construction shown for the selected product.

Review CBN / PCBN ToolsConfirm the complete tool code or dimensioned drawing, geometry, dimensions and application.
Review PCD ToolsConfirm the complete code, tool-material label, dimensions, cutting edges and interface fields shown for the selected product.
Submit the complete holder and insert or tool references. Compatibility must be reviewed separately and is not inferred from a partial code.

View the PCD and CBN CatalogPCD & CBN Tools are partner-supplied through MSU. Product identification, drawings, requested quality information and order requirements are confirmed for the selected product before quotation.
The current partner catalog, complete selected reference or approved drawing and confirmed order requirements provide the basis for product review.
State required dimensional reports, material or construction documents, identification records, drawing revision, packaging requirements or other quality documents before quotation.
Supplier, incoming or outgoing verification and available evidence are confirmed for the exact product and order. Material equivalence, holder compatibility and machining results depend on the submitted reference, drawing and application conditions. See Quality Control for inspection processes and quality-document requests.
Review how product and order-specific quality information is confirmed for partner-supplied tools.
Review Quality ControlSend the cutting-material route, complete tool or insert code, tool form, edge and dimensional requirements, operation, workpiece, holder or interface, cutting conditions, quantity, destination and target date. Review Ordering and Delivery for purchasing information and Downloads for current documents.
For a custom tool, include a dimensioned drawing with its revision, critical dimensions, tolerances, material requirement and interface.
MOQ is normally 5–10 pieces, with the final quantity confirmed by product and quotation. Samples are charged according to the product, and sample freight is paid by the customer.
Completion of the whole order is guaranteed within 25–30 days from order placement. T/T with deposit and balance is supported; percentages and milestones are stated in the quotation or order.
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP can be discussed and are confirmed by order, destination and feasibility. Quotations remain valid for 30 days.
Report an issue within 30 days after receipt and include applicable photographs, batch or order identification, drawing revision, measurement report or video. Each issue is verified and handled case by case.

Use the specified cutting-material route when it is already approved. Otherwise, submit the workpiece, operation, tool form and cutting conditions for application review.
No. Verify the complete code, material or construction route, edge geometry, dimensions, holder interface, workpiece and operating conditions.
Yes. Include the drawing revision, critical dimensions, tolerances, tool-material requirement, interface, quantity and application conditions.
Provide the exact tool reference or drawing, workpiece material and hardness, operation, holder and cutting conditions. Hardness suitability and tool-life requirements are reviewed for that product and application.
Submit the complete holder and tool or insert references. Compatibility is reviewed case by case and is not inferred from a partial code.
Yes. State the required document and acceptance basis before quotation so availability can be confirmed for the selected product and order.
