MSU-Manufactured Carbide End Mills

Single-Flute End Mills

MSU manufactures the NON-1F carbide single-flute end mill family. The current range contains seven exact catalog codes under the catalog name High-Polished Single-Flute End Mill.

Compare the configurations by catalog code, diameter, cutting length, reach, workpiece and required polish or coating condition. Send the exact NON-1F code when known, or provide the feature drawing and complete machining conditions for review.

Send the feature, diameter, cutting length, reach, workpiece and quantity for selection review or quotation.

The current MSU range contains one NON-1F family. Single flute end mill and one flute end mill are alternate names for the same single-flute product category.

Family

NON-1F High-Polished Single-Flute End Mill

The catalog identifies NON-1F as a High-Polished Single-Flute End Mill. The exact flute geometry, polish or coating condition, dimensions and application still need to be confirmed from the applicable catalog entry and buyer requirement.

For an O-flute requirement, send the geometry details or drawing so the flute form can be checked. The NON-1F range consists of carbide single-flute end mills. CNC router bits and woodworking cutters are separate product types.

Use Carbide End Mills to compare the complete MSU end-mill range, or Square End Mills when the requirement belongs to the standard multi-flute square-end families.

The seven NON-1F codes document catalog configurations rather than current stock. Match the complete code and catalog entry to the buyer’s application before quotation.

Compare NON-1F Configurations

Compare Series and Configurations

The NON-1F range contains one family. Compare the exact dimensions and application conditions to select a configuration.

MSU NON-1F single-flute end mill configurations compared by catalog code, diameter, cutting length, reach, workpiece and polish or coating condition with the information to provide and its review purpose.
Comparison input What to provide Review purpose
Catalog code Complete NON-1F code, when known Locates one of the seven catalog entries without inferring hidden attributes from the code
Diameter Required cutting diameter, units and feature tolerance Checks the dimensional entry against the part feature
Cutting length Required cutting engagement and axial feature depth Checks whether the catalog configuration covers the cutting requirement
Reach Required access distance from the holder or reference face Checks access and distinguishes cutting length from total working reach
Workpiece Material, exact grade, hardness or condition when known Provides the material boundary for technical review
Polish or coating Required surface or coating condition, if specified Confirms the requested condition against the exact catalog entry rather than the family name alone

Also provide shank and overall-length limits, operation, toolpath, machine, holder, overhang, workholding, coolant or lubrication method and quantity. A single-flute label alone does not establish the correct tool, cutting parameters, chip-control result, finish or tool life.

Continue to the workpiece, feature and machining conditions required for a complete selection review.

Review Single-Flute Application Inputs

Choose Single-Flute End Mills for Your Application

Begin with the part feature and workpiece rather than the number of flutes alone. Provide the following information together:
