PCD Finishing Inserts
Review the complete insert code, insert shape, dimensions, edge geometry, cutting direction and insert type for the selected finishing-insert requirement.
Partner-Supplied PCD and MCD Range
Explore partner-supplied PCD cutting tools available through MSU, including PCD finishing inserts, MCD tools, milling cutters, reamers and custom PCD tool routes. These PCD tools are reviewed through the complete tool form, edge geometry, dimensions, operation and workpiece requirement.
Polycrystalline diamond cutting tools differ from CBN / PCBN Tools. Material construction, edge condition, accuracy, application suitability and performance must be reviewed for the exact product reference or approved drawing.
Send the PCD or MCD route, tool form, operation, workpiece, drawing or code and quantity for review.
Request a PCD Tool ReviewCompare five PCD and MCD product routes by tool form, geometry and application, then prepare the complete reference or drawing required for review.
Use PCD & CBN Tools for the material-family overview, CBN / PCBN Tools for the adjacent material route and Custom Cutting Tools for a drawing-led workflow.
Review the complete insert code, insert shape, dimensions, edge geometry, cutting direction and insert type for the selected finishing-insert requirement.
Review the complete code or drawing, single-crystal material label, tool form, edge, dimensions and operation for the selected MCD requirement.
Review diameter, radius or profile, cutting-edge count, shank or interface, overall dimensions and milling operation.
Review the hole requirement, diameter, edge count, working length, shank, interface and complete tool reference.
Review the drawing revision, tool form, critical dimensions, edge geometry, interface and acceptance requirement for a custom tool.
Continue to compare PCD inserts, MCD tools, cutters, reamers and custom configurations by their application fields.
Compare PCD Tool OptionsUse the tool form first, then verify the material label, edge geometry, complete dimensions and standard or custom supply route.
PCD and MCD are not interchangeable labels. A similar shape or copied chamfer, hone, radius or cutting parameter does not establish product identity, holder fit or application result.
| Product route | Current range | First comparison fields | Selection boundary |
|---|---|---|---|
| PCD Finishing Inserts | Standard PCD insert-series routes | Complete insert code, shape, dimensions, edge geometry, cutting direction and insert type | Similar shape does not establish holder fit or application result |
| MCD Tools | Single-crystal tool routes | Complete code or drawing, material label, tool form, edge, dimensions and operation | MCD identity must be confirmed for the selected product |
| PCD Milling Cutters | PCD-labeled cutter forms | Diameter, radius or profile, edge count, shank or interface, overall dimensions and operation | No general finish, life or productivity result |
| PCD Reamers | PCD-labeled reamer and small-diameter-hole routes | Hole requirement, diameter, edge count, working length, shank and complete code | Hole quality and material suitability require application review |
| Custom PCD Tools | Welded non-standard and drawing-based forms | Drawing revision, tool form, critical dimensions, edge geometry, interface and acceptance requirement | Feasibility and inspection scope are confirmed through review and quotation |
Use the comparison table to define the exact PCD or MCD tool form, geometry and supply route.
Review PCD Tool Selection InputsA complete PCD tool request combines the product form, material route, edge and dimensions, workpiece, machine setup and standard or custom requirement.
Product or drawing verification
Do not select PCD from the workpiece name alone. Submit the actual material and operating conditions so the product route and available evidence can be reviewed.
When replacing another tool, include the complete reference, drawing revision and measured dimensions. Appearance alone does not establish equivalence.
Send the complete PCD tool, workpiece, machine and geometry information for review.
Send PCD Tool RequirementsUse the current catalog or approved drawing to confirm the material label, complete code, edge fields, dimensions and application associated with the selected product.
Confirm the complete insert code, dimensions, edge count, direction, edge design, chamfer, hone and insert type when shown.
Confirm the complete MCD tool code or drawing, material label, edge or profile and dimensions.
Confirm the drawing or complete reference, dimensions, profile, edge and application.
Confirm the complete code, PCD material label, diameter, profile, edge count, working length and shank or interface.
Confirm the drawing revision, critical dimensions, tolerances, interface and inspection requirement.
Open the current catalog and record the complete PCD or MCD reference and dimensional row.
View the PCD Tools CatalogPCD Tools are partner-supplied through MSU. Product identity, drawings, requested quality information and order requirements are confirmed for the selected product before quotation.
The current partner catalog, complete selected reference or approved drawing and confirmed order requirements provide the basis for product review.
State required material or construction evidence, dimensional reports, edge inspection, drawing revision, identification records, packaging requirements or other quality documents before quotation.
Supplier, incoming or outgoing verification and available evidence are confirmed for the exact product and order. Edge quality, accuracy, material suitability, holder compatibility and machining results depend on the submitted reference, drawing and application conditions. See Quality Control for inspection processes and quality-document requests.
Review how PCD product identity, drawing requirements and order-specific quality documents are confirmed.
Review Quality ControlSend the PCD or MCD route, complete tool code or drawing, tool form, edge and dimensional requirements, operation, workpiece, holder or interface, cutting conditions, quantity, destination and target date. Review Ordering and Delivery for purchasing information and Downloads for current documents.
For a custom tool, identify the drawing revision, critical dimensions, tolerances, interface and acceptance features.
MOQ is normally 5–10 pieces, with the final quantity confirmed by product and quotation. Samples are charged according to the product, and sample freight is paid by the customer.
Completion of the whole order is guaranteed within 25–30 days from order placement. T/T with deposit and balance is supported; percentages and milestones are stated in the quotation or order.
EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP can be discussed and are confirmed by order, destination and feasibility. Quotations remain valid for 30 days.
Report an issue within 30 days after receipt and include applicable photographs, order or batch identification, drawing revision, measurement report or video. Each issue is verified and handled case by case.
