Partner-supplied straight-shank and reduced-neck ceramic end mills available through MSU

Ceramic End Mills

Explore partner-supplied solid ceramic end mills available through MSU. The current catalog lists straight-shank and reduced-neck configurations with 4-flute and 6-flute options and row-level dimensions.

Choose the route by complete product code, ceramic grade, cutting diameter, corner radius, cutting length, reach, shank and application conditions. Keep ceramic tool selection separate from carbide end mill parameters and assumptions.

Send the end mill reference, workpiece, setup, quantity and target date for selection review or quotation.

Dimensions to keep together

Do not construct an unlisted tool code by combining dimensions from different rows. The complete product code and dimensional row remain one configuration.

  • Shank diameter
  • Overall length
  • Reduced-neck diameter when applicable

Keep material data separate

Do not transfer carbide end mill parameters or results to a ceramic tool. Submit the exact workpiece, tool, engagement and machine conditions.

Define the access envelope

For reach-sensitive work, include the part geometry, holder envelope, overhang and toolpath.

Use the complete catalog row

A reduced neck can change access, but the configuration name alone does not confirm clearance, stability or machining results.

Send the complete tool dimensions, workpiece and setup conditions for product-specific review.

No. MSU supplies Ceramic End Mills through its partner network and confirms the selected product against its catalog and order requirements.

The current catalog lists straight-shank and reduced-neck solid ceramic end mills with 4-flute and 6-flute options.

The listed rows span 4 mm through 20 mm. Verify the complete row because flute count, radius, length and grade options vary.

The current tables include CW10 and CS35 grade-selection columns. The grade must be reviewed with the exact tool and application.

Do not transfer carbide parameters or results to a ceramic tool. Submit the exact workpiece, tool, engagement and machine conditions.

Provide the part geometry, holder envelope, overhang and toolpath so access and setup can be reviewed.

You may submit a complete drawing for feasibility and supply review. The final code, quantity and commercial terms are confirmed case by case.
